Here it is! Redmi India has finally launched its laptop series in India. The company has finally introduced its RedmiBook in India two years after it made its debut in China.

RedmiBook laptop has launched into two variants – RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-learning edition in the market. Apart from this, the company has places laptop series below the price of the Xiaomi Mi notebook.

The launch of RedmiBook will cater to both ‘work from home’ audiences and for students and teachers.

The new laptop from Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is featuring 11th generation Tiger Lake processor and has up to 512 GB of storage. The RedmiBook 15 also has a full HD (1920×1080) resolution display for its users. It has a 39.6cm (15.6) display. The RedmiBook 15 series is available in charcoal grey color.

It offers 8GB and 512GB NVMe SSD. The laptop has an HD webcam feature. Along with the webcam and other features, the RedmiBook laptop also has a 2 W speakers support for DTS audio processing application, with a 3.5 mm combo audio jack. It also has dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth V5.0 for connectivity.

The most important thing we look at in any laptop before purchasing it is its battery life. While performing work from home, we never know when the power supply goes, and the battery becomes essential. So, the RedmiBook laptop is claiming 10 hours of battery life to its users with a battery capacity of 46 WH.

This brand new laptop even has a multi-touch system with support for Windows Precision drivers. The laptop is slim at 19.9 mm thick but weighs 1.8 kg, which might be heavy for people who carry their laptop daily to work.

RedmiBook 15 Pro price in India is Rs49,999 which we believe is not a budget laptop. The RedmiBook Pro 15 does not focus on premium performance or gaming. Instead, the more focus is on its Core specification.

However, the company is providing an Rs2,500 discount for buyers. They can use their HDFC credit card, debit card and can also buy through EMIs. The sale for RedmiBook 15 begins today on August 6, 2021, at noon from Flipkart, mi.com, and MI home.

RedmiBook 15 pro body consists of polycarbonate with a charcoal grey finish which is not much attractive. Apart from this, there is a small Redmi logo on one side of the laptop lid, and if someone looks at it closely, you can see a tag line that says “power your creativity.” Well, this feels unnecessary anyway, just like some other phones have on their mobile phones back.

Another specification of this RedmiBook laptop is that – you can open the lid with one finger, which is easy to use. When you open the lid of your newly purchased laptop, you will find a non-glossy and non-reflective 15.6-inch screen that looks pretty good.

The user will not find the number pad on the keyboard, which you can generally find on a 15 inch model of other brands. You can also find different paging keys on the right side of the keyboard.

There is a disadvantage for type-c users as the RedmiBook 15 pro has a number of ports but does not have a type C port which is quite surprising for its users.

The Redmi Book Pro has come up with Windows 10 and will soon release free updates of Windows 11 for its users. When you buy the RedmiBook laptop, you will also get a full license for Microsoft Office Home and student 2019.
